Being In Community Together
We need each other! I want to start off by saying how important this gathering is. Jesus picked an important word when he wanted to describe the community of believers. It is the word Ekklesia. This word literally means ‘a called-out assembly’. As you saw the formation of the early church you began to realize how the assembly was such a critical and central part of it’s vibrancy and life. The book of Acts is our window into the early church, and as much as they were sent out to spread the gospel, the gathering was critical to stability. Even while the church was severely persecuted in the 2nd and 3rd centuries (as well as modern occurrences all over the world) believers would and do risk so much to gather together. As a pastor I see the need and critical nature of the gathering more than ever. So we are excited to invite you to join us this Sunday!
